Throughout 2025, CAST has continued to build upon its success and reputation, further establishing itself as an award-winning organisation. We were honoured to receive the Best Mental Health First Aid Education Provider award at the Education & Training Awards 2023, 2024 and 2025 in the UK.

Our progress has been marked by our ability to adapt to the changes in traditional learning environments that have occurred in the last 5 years. By learning from the experiences and feedback of our customers, CAST has evolved to ensure our training is accessible and relevant to the needs of our learners.

Training Solutions

CAST offers a wide variety of workforce development and training solutions, available both virtually and face-to-face, across our generic and bespoke course offer. This flexibility allows participants to choose the format that best suits their learning preferences and circumstances.

Partnerships and Collaborations

We maintain strong working relationships with several leading national and international organisations in the field, including Public Health England, Mental Health First Aid England, LivingWorks Education, The National Centre for Suicide Prevention Education & Training, and Lifeline Workshops Inc. In addition, we have developed new partnerships, such as with Chasing The Stigma and its Ambassador of Hope Programme, further expanding our reach and impact.

Programme Delivery in 2025

During 2025, CAST expanded to work with a large local authority in designing and delivering a Train the Trainer programme for a bespoke piece of workforce development. This involved collaboration with an established training provider to co-produce Foundation Training: Parent Infant Relationships, Perinatal Mental Health, and the First 1001 Days.

We have continued our work with existing clients, with our Mental Health First Aid Training at University College London reaching it’s 7th year. Our contributions continue with Public Health North Yorkshire commissioning us again for 2026, our 5th year of working with them as a favoured training provider, and our presence at National Grid as a MHFA and SFA training provider continues too.

Speaking Engagements

Katie was a Keynote Speaker for National Grid at their wellbeing conference earlier this year, speaking during Mental Health Week on the importance of community for our mental wellbeing. She also provided 2 workshops on self-harm and suicide for Yorkshire Causeway Schools Trust annual conference.

Looking Ahead to 2026

The upcoming year will bring exciting enhancements to CAST’s training offerings, as we develop closer relationships with local authorities and third sector organisations to meet workforce training needs. Our focus is specifically on supporting staff to support the children, young people and adults they work with in all areas of mental wellbeing. That includes supporting the workforce with their own mental health and wellbeing, to navigate successfully and safely the work they do.

We continue to work towards improving the mental health of our communities with every single training solution we provide for our clients.
